Manchester Christmas Markets Set To Be The Biggest Yet

Luxury Accommodation Manchester

There are many great events throughout the year that bring thousands of visitors to Manchester, from cultural festivals to sports. Many of those who visit come for the day, but by booking some luxury accommodation you can make the most of your visit to the city, especially if there is much you are unfamiliar with and you want to do some exploring.

With the end of 2024 on the horizon, the Christmas Markets will soon be underway – and this year is going to see the biggest yet.

That means more stalls, more places to go, a wider array of novel gifts to buy, tasty food to eat and great things to drink from beer to gluhwein, all in a great festive atmosphere you can enjoy with friends and loved ones – or even just on your own as you take it all in.

Running from November 8th to December 22nd, the markets will be spread across nine sites in central Manchester, all within walking distance of each other. With over 200 stalls, this will not only be the largest in the history of this city, but the biggest in the entire UK.

Piccadilly Gardens will be the centre point of the festivities, with two marquees being a new feature this year, offering live entertainment alongside food and drink stalls that stay open until 9 PM.

In addition to all the stalls in Market Street, Exchange Square, New Cathedral Street, King Street, The Corn Exchange and St Anne’s Square, there is also an ice rink in the Cathedral Gardens, so you can channel your inner Torvill and Dean.

If you are unfamiliar with Manchester and its public transport, it is worth noting that several Metrolink stops and railway stations are close to market sites. Trams stop at Market Street, Piccadilly Gardens, Exchange Square and Victoria Railway Station, the last being close to the Cathedral Gardens. All these stops are in Metrolink Zone 1.

If you want the best Christmas market experience combined with a luxury apartment stay, you’ll find it in Manchester.
