Is Closeness To A Venue Or Better Transport Links Better?

A lot of people book luxury accommodation in Manchester alongside an event, so they can sample the city’s incredible nightlife without having to worry about immediately catching a train or preparing for a very long drive through the night.
However, one of the big debates when booking an apartment or hotel location is whether it is better for it to be close to your venue or whether it is better to have one that has convenient transport links.
Manchester has one of the best transport links in Great Britain, with easy access from most places in Greater Manchester to most other places. This means that you can get from Altrincham in the south to Bury in the north in just over an hour.
This means that transport is not going to be an issue as long as you choose accommodation close within easy reach of a Metrolink station, to say nothing of park and rides, buses or even taxis.
With the question of access out of the way, it largely comes down to personal preference and how much you want to be in the centre of the action.
Some people like to be within walking distance of everything, and there are a lot of amazing options in the centre of Manchester itself or in nearby Salford, something that can be particularly great if you plan to extend your night out long after your concert or event finishes.
On the other hand, a lot of people like to wind down after a particularly exciting event, and the trip back and a quieter room can be just what the doctor ordered.
As well as this, rooms outside of the centre of Manchester often offer considerable luxury touches for less money, and whilst you cannot put a price on a perfect experience, a conveniently located hotel room offers the best of all worlds.
